Assisting crisis-affected individuals and communities with aid and support for recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Relief & Rehabilitation

Emergency Relief Assistance:

PEI swiftly responds to natural and man-made disasters by providing comprehensive relief efforts to over 250,000 affected individuals. Our aid includes essential supplies such as food, water, shelter, and medical supplies, addressing urgent needs in crisis-stricken areas. We prioritize specialized healthcare services for maternal and child health, offering prenatal and postnatal care, vaccinations, and treatment for common childhood illnesses to ensure the well-being of vulnerable groups during adversity. Concurrently, our hygiene awareness campaigns educate disaster-affected communities on sanitation and hygiene practices, aiming to prevent waterborne diseases and promote overall health. Beyond tangible relief, PEI engages communities through meetings and psychosocial support, empowering local leaders in community-led recovery initiatives.

IDPs Health Response Project

PEI supported Bannu District, KPK, by supplying medical and surgical supplies, consumables, and equipment to three major hospitals and 15 basic health units. This aid helped these facilities manage increased patient flows due to displaced persons from North Waziristan, addressing issues such as heat stroke, infectious diseases, and maternal and child health needs.

Awaran Earthquake Project

Following the earthquake in Balochistans DHQ Awaran, PEI enhanced emergency healthcare services by establishing a 24/7 emergency health desk, sponsoring medical personnel, and repairing and installing essential medical equipment and supplies like bandages, disinfection solutions, medicines, and medical apparatus.

Return of Kurram IDPs

Under an MoU with FDMA, PEI supported over 3,000 IDPs returning to Kurram Agency, FATA, by providing essential non-food items such as warm clothes, shoes, blankets, and utensils to facilitate their resettlement and recovery.

Rehabilitation of Basic Health Units

In response to devastating floods, PEI rehabilitated and managed two basic health units in Swat District and three in Peshawar and Charsadda districts of KPK. This effort included supplying medicines, equipment, and staffing to ensure these units could continue to provide essential healthcare services to their communities.

Distribution of New Clothes, Shoes and Accessories

PEI distributed clothes, shoes, and other non-food items to 85,663 disadvantaged individuals across KPK districts of Mardan, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swat, Malakand, Swabi, and Rajanpur District in Punjab, aiming to alleviate immediate hardships and support community well-being.

Mitigating the Impacts of Changing Environmental Conditions:

PEI proactively addresses environmental challenges through sustainable practices and measures. We promote awareness and action to mitigate the impacts of climate change, including initiatives like tree planting, waste reduction, and energy conservation, fostering resilience and sustainable development within communities.
