Shahid Yusaf
Founder and Executive Director, Poverty Eradication Initiative
Since founding PEI in 2002, Shahid Yusaf has led its work to raise awareness about poverty and give poor communities the means to lift themselves out of it.
Under his leadership PEI has delivered a wide range of social welfare and development programs across Pakistan. He has championed public-private partnerships in health, and mobilised around USD 163 million in medical and surgical supplies and equipment for the country's hospitals.
He has directed PEI's relief, recovery and rehabilitation work through floods, earthquakes, drought and the COVID-19 pandemic.
